Web Cloud Validation Engineer OTA Testing

Position Overview
We are seeking Web Cloud Validation Engineers to join a team responsible for validating cloud services, web applications, APIs, and deployment workflows supporting connected-vehicle software updates.
The role primarily focuses on web application validation, REST API testing, test automation, and cloud-based workflows, with automotive and OTA experience considered a strong plus.
We are open to candidates across multiple experience levels, from engineers early in their testing careers to senior engineers with strong automation and cloud validation expertise.
Key Responsibilities
Validate cloud-based services supporting software package management, deployment workflows, campaign management, device registration, and software update orchestration.
Perform functional and regression testing of web applications, portals, dashboards, and user workflows.
Validate REST APIs, including request/response validation, error handling, authentication, and authorization.
Test fleet management functionality, including scheduling, staged rollouts, deployment monitoring, and software version management.
Validate cloud-to-vehicle communication workflows.
Test user authentication, authorization, permissions, and access control.
Develop and maintain automated UI tests using Playwright or similar automation frameworks.
Develop API automation and maintain automated regression suites.
Validate browser compatibility and end-to-end user workflows.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
Investigate API, cloud-service, and frontend/backend integration issues.
Analyze test failures and collaborate with software developers and DevOps teams to identify and resolve issues.
Continuously improve test coverage, automation efficiency, and overall validation processes.
Qualifications
Junior-Level Candidates
1+ years of software testing or QA experience.
Experience testing web applications.
Basic experience with Playwright or Selenium.
Basic understanding of REST API testing.
Basic knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript.
Basic Python knowledge.
Understanding of functional, regression, and defect testing.
Mid-Level / Senior Candidates
4+ years of experience in backend, web application, QA automation, or software validation.
Strong experience with Playwright or comparable UI automation frameworks.
Strong REST API testing and automation experience.
Experience validating cloud-based or distributed services.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with Docker.
Experience with at least one cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
